New Jersey Man's Family Sues Over Brain Injury

Posted on Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at 12:43 pm

The family of a man who suffered a serious brain injury after falling out of a house is suing the city of New Brunswick and the house’s landlord. If you or someone you love has suffered a serious brain injury, the New Jersey brain injury attorneys of Levinson Axelrod may be able to help you fight for your dignity.

The 19-year-old man was visiting his friend in New Brunswick in 2008 when a rail he was leaning on broke, sending him falling down two stories. He landed on his head, sustaining serious brain injuries so severe they necessitated the man being put into a medically induced coma. The brain injuries required significant rehabilitation, and he had to learn to walk again.

The man’s family is suing the city of New Brunswick for failing to cite the building’s owner for the dangerous problems with the house, as well as the landlord of the building.
